Kye Louise Boot
Hi! My name is Kye, and I'm an illustrator based in a little village in Surrey, United Kingdom.
I graduated from Falmouth University in 2025, and gained a first class degree in illustration, along with a lot of new skills, friends and experiences along the way! I have been regularly practising art for over 16 years, and I am consistently seeking out opportunities for growth, working on personal projects, gaining new creative skills, and continuously striving to develop my personal visual language and illustrative techniques.
Alongside my Illustration BA, I also have a level 4 qualification in photography from the British Academy of Photography. I regularly practice photography alongside my illustration practice, Not only is it a fantastic  way for me to source unique and authentic  reference images, but it continuously enables me to develop better compositional awareness and confidence with tone and contrast within my illustrative work too.
(My photography portfolio can be found at @Kye.B.Photography on instagram!)
I have a special interest in graphic novels and comic-style artwork, and I also really enjoy character design and concept art. However, I pride myself on being a versitile and adaptable artist and have experience in many other areas of illustration too - I always enjoy a new challenge!
The main traditional mediums I enjoy using are brush, pen, dippen, pencil and ink - most often in greyscale/black and white. Digitally, I prefer to work with my iPad, using Procreate. However, I am also confident with a drawing tablet. Additionally, I have a good knowledge of Adobe Lightroom due to many years of using it within my photography practices.
I am always experimenting with new mediums and creative methods in my spare time so that I can grow a diverse and varied skill set. I'm flexible and enthusiastic about learning - If I'm challenged with a programme or medium that I haven't yet tried, I put all of my effort and time into adapting and learning how to best utilise it through both independent and collaborative experiences!
I absolutely love to work with other creatives, clients, and fun like-minded individuals; if you'd like to work with me, please feel free to get in touch!
